2nd Annual Celebrating Bay Area AAPI LGBTQ+ Women Leaders & Allies

SEE EVENT DETAILS
The San Francisco Bay Times is proud to announce the Second Annual Celebrating Bay Area AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islander) LGBTQ+ Women Leaders & Allies, with featured guest honoree Margaret Cho.

Held during AAPI Heritage Month 2026, we will celebrate multiple generations of leaders. Some, such as Margaret Cho, are renowned in their fields and known not only nationally but also internationally, and others are unsung heroines whose efforts continue to enrich the entire LGBTQ+ community. We invite you to come out with us among the stars--and also under the starlit sky over The Academy SF's beautiful Outdoor Courtyard--to help celebrate these accomplished women leaders. As Margaret says, "Love is the big booming beat, which covers up the noise of hate."

* Co-Emcees: Madeleine Lim, Founder of the Queer Women of Color Media Arts Project; and Nguyen Pham, President of the Mensa Foundation and Director of Sponsorships at SF Pride
* Welcome by ABC7 News Lead Anchor Dan Ashley
* Taiko Drumming by a World Champion
* After Party Led by DJ China G Presented by Olivia Travel
