"There is no way to contain Kaye Bohler. She strides across time, not singing but laying down songs, not dressing up but stepping out-bringing the vibe of a different era and making it resonate now. With a voice of whiskey and honey - Bohler is blues and soul, rock and big band, Tina Turner, Etta James, James Brown in one." Dave Faires, Monterey County Weekly Dec. 2023

Soul and Blues, original recording Artist, Kaye Bohler brings a 3-piece horn section, her harmonica man, and an All-star rhythm section to celebrate the career of an American Treasure, the great Etta James. Act One focuses on the recordings of a teenage Etta James and her years at Chess Records in the 1950's and Sixties. Act Two celebrates the funky, rock-edged blues and soul sound and recordings from Etta's comeback years of the late 1980's and 1990's. Kaye is a story telling songwriter that delivers a history lesson in this show, through performing the vast material of Etta James Life and background stories behind her hits.
