Portola Music Festival

Portola Music Festival takes place at San Francisco's Pier 80. The festival boasts an exciting lineup this year (complete lineup below). The festival's namesake is an ode to the Portola Festival of 1909, which was a celebration of the re-opening of San Francisco, three years after the earthquake of 1906 decimated the city. Venue doors open at 1pm both days. You must be 21 years.

Reaching out with news via Goldenvoice's Portola Music Festival, which has just announced the artist lineup for its 2026 edition. Portola, San Francisco's premier celebration of dance music, returns Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27 at Pier 80.

The lineup is spearheaded by headline performances from acclaimed Swedish dance-pop visionary Robyn, the famed Skrillex & Boys Noize project DOG BLOOD, legendary electronic trio Swedish House Mafia, Swedish hitmaker Zara Larsson, pioneering dance figure Tiësto (in the Warehouse), revered electronic architect Four Tet, Swedish icon Tove Lo, and legacy Belgian electronic group Soulwax.

Portola has also announced the highly-anticipated return of DESPACIO - the high-powered, enclosed, sound system and immersive audio experience designed by James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem, David and Stephen Dewaele of 2ManyDJs and Soulwax, and sound engineer John Klett.

Entering its fifth year, Portola has rapidly become a defining fixture of San Francisco's contemporary electronic scene, merging global electronic talent with the city's longstanding underground dance legacy inside the raw industrial backdrop of Pier 80. The festival continues to champion a distinctly Bay Area vision of dance music culture - irreverent, community-driven, and deeply rooted in the spirit of the rave.

Presented by Goldenvoice and the brainchild of Goldenvoice VP Talent Buyer Danny Bell, Portola aims to incorporate all different corners of the dance/indie/hip-hop/progressive pop realm. Bell notes: "This is the festival I've wanted to produce for the past decade. San Francisco is the perfect city for it and now is the perfect time"

Encompassing the outsider perspective that unites many cultures throughout San Francisco, Portola Music Festival brings together new, buzzing electronic artists, metaverse pop stars, and legendary names all over the same weekend. The festival boasts a lineup where attendees can roam from tents to a 400,000-square-foot warehouse to a main stage that has the SF skyline as the backdrop from Pier 80. The festival will include local food offerings (restaurants to be announced at a later date) with craft beer, local wine, and cocktails.

Portola is a cashless event. Major credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover will be accepted. Contactless payment solutions such as Apple Pay, Android Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay, and contactless cards will also be accepted.
